Yokes

They were out of chicken! EEK! Oh well, I will just try back later. It did throw off my groove quite a bit because I was planning on using the $5 off $20 I printed from Save-a-lots. They were also out of the 93 cent toothpaste, but I just got it from walmart. Total: 9.32 Saved: 12.86

Tortilla Factory

I go here to get my fresh tortillas. I got the burrito size which is 3.50 for a dozen. There are smaller ones for less. We get the big ones, because at my house when we make burritos we mean business. Seriously though, these are really good tortillas for less than they usually cost at the store.

Wednesday at Walmart

I haggled with Walmart tonight over about every last penny. Honestly I really tried to be nice about it, but the cashier was still very happy to see me leave. It's just that with the new year I am really trying to keep to my $50 a week budget and every cent is going to count. So... I did a lot of price matching. Here's how it looked:

Total: $ 9.27
Saved: ? Not really sure, because I did alot of price matching and apparently walmart doesn't keep track on the reciept.
*2.5 lb.s roma tomatoes---0.69/lb price matched with fiesta foods
*2 morton salts-----------.44 each price matched with fiesta foods
*4 tomatoe sauces--------.50 each. (not super, but I really want to make spanish rice)
*2 breads----------------.45 each price matched with yokes
*3 crest toothpastes------.93 each price matched with yokes then used .75 off coupons to make them 18 cents each
*two BAR-s bacons------2/$1 with fiesta foods coupon

The super deal here was the sun 75 load detergent. It was on sale for 4.99 Buy One Get One FREE. I also (three) $1 off 1 coupons and (three) .50 off 1 coupons. This made it $10.47 for six of them, or about $1.75 each.

Wild Walgreens

It was a crazy night at the Walgreens. I ended up with one little mis-scan that I had to go back and fix, but all in all, it wasn't too bad. I guess I got a little flustered, so I could have done better. I'm still working on this whole couponing thing a little. For next time, I'll work on planning ahead better. In total I spent $35.39 and got back $21.00 in register rewards.

My purchases were:

1 venus razor

3 gillette fusion razors

4 boxes jello

4 toys
